日本語でブログを書こうかなと思った。
日本語の勉強になりそうで、
いろいろamateur写真も取ってるし、誰もに見せないより、どこかにのせてあげたい。
ちょっと前、金剛山まで行きました。
（へ？に？まで？）
雪があるって聞いてexcitedでした。楽しみでした。
あ、つかれた。
日本語むずかしい。
まあ、一応今は写真をしょうかいするだけのために字を書いたにしましょう。

雨はふってないのに、木の葉っぱにくっついてた氷がとけて、ポタポタおちてた。
木の上は雨がなくて、木の下は雨がふってて、面白いかんかくでした。
ポタポタポッ。
少しぬれちゃう。
誰もいない。
haikuになった （？）
さかは意外と高かった。（きつかった？）
しんどかったけど、がんばって上りました。
あせ出た。服いっぱいぬいで持ち歩いた。
ほかの人たちはもう朝早くから上って、帰り道に会って、百回ぐらい、「こんにちは」と言うてあいさつしながら山を上った。
こっちは朝家から早く出るのは下手ですから。
ギリギリ駅までの帰りのバスを乗れました。
I thought I’d try writing a blog while I’m here in Japan. It would be good for my Japanese writing practise and I have taken lots of amateurish photos – rather than keep them in a dark and dusty folder on my laptop I thought I’d let them see the light of day.
A few weeks ago, I went to Kongo Mountain.
I heard there’d be snow up there, so I was very excited.
(At this point, I got tired of writing in Japanese already.)
I wrote, let’s just say that this post is primarily here to introduce the photos. But this sentence turned out to be difficult to write too.
To conclude, I went to Kongo Mountain. Here are the photos(!)

Attempt 2: With a renewed sense of purpose, I tried again.
Even though there was no rain, the ice that had frozen to the tree leaves was melting and falling in fast little droplets. For there to be no rain above the trees, yet raining below the trees, was a funny sensation.
“Drip-drop, drip-drop, drip
Getting a little bit wet,
No one else around”
Ah-ha, a haiku has emerged!
The slope of the hill was unexpectedly steep.
It was hard-going, but we did our best.
We sweated, took off most of our clothes and walked with them fastened around our waists.
Most of the other hikers had gone up the mountain much earlier in the day, and we would greet them on their way down, so many of them! Must have said ‘konnichiwa’ about 100 times as we climbed upwards.
Because, I am not so good at leaving the house early.
We just about made it onto the bus to take us back to the station.
